Thread on separate kitchens/group trips

Was reading a week or more ago a thread that had some discussion on how to incorporate groups from out of state and work trips.
We've got a good group of friends that are out of state that we do a trip every year.

Can't find that thread and would love to read again and share.
If anybody knows what I'm talking about and remembers posting in it, please post a link and help a tired teacher out.
It's almost time for Alice Cooper to belt it out!

Did a grand trip where we didn't have a kitchen except to boil water/make coffee. Got 2 extra side canyon hikes/day
