Surprise week off in Sept, Where to go? Any permit openings?

I just got a new job and I am going to be able to take a week or so off in between companies. Since its normally hard for me to get a week or more off at once I think I should take advantage of it. Im in Denver and I have a 14' set up. I am willing to drive anywhere out west.

So.... Where should I go? Where can I get a last minute permit? Anyone need raft support or have a permit opening?

Thanks

Lots of Rogue permits open right now, like 95 spots available tomorrow. I'd do it if I could, gonna be on the Mckenzie this weekend.

You can run Labyrinth/Stillwater with a last minute permit. Could possibly get a permit for Cataract as well. Personally I would try and hook up with someone for a Deso/Gray or Lodore trip...

Main Salmon. Easy permit to get in September, never too low, weather should be good in early September. Maybe re-load in Riggins and do some of the lower Salmon if you have time.

I have a Main Salmon Permit with some openings.

Treswright3

We have two boats launching on Sept. 5th to spend 7 days on the Main Salmon in central Idaho. We will be on the river til the 11th. If this sounds interesting give me a shout. We could add another boat and 3 people. We are maxing this trip at 6 people and 3 or 4 boats.

Midweek permits available for Westwater

Some Deso permits available

Cataract is easy to get and is a great autumn to be down there considering the river goes well past take out

Since you are in Denver and only have a week, deso, cataract, Lodore, or ruby/Horsethief/westwater/Dewey/Moab daily. Travel to Oregon and Idaho will burn up a couple river days, but they are also great options if you have the time.
