Cool, we are in a big group probably 6 boats and some Ik's cant miss us. How big is your group and what camp are you shooting for?

Deep canyons can be a bitch for Astronomy. Make sure you get a good view of the eastern horizon. It will be very low in the eastern sky just after sunset / moonrise.

You can get precise information about your location here:

Lunar Eclipse Computer

For those of us in the western US its going to require a good view of the moon rise to the east so any canyon walls that direction could be problematic. For where I will be for the weekend that means a view of the eclipse from 810-920 pm.

We'll be chilling in a yurt so I am not sure we will actually see it from our canyon or not.
