South Platte below Chatfield

Is it boatable from Union chutes to how far? Me hardshell and wife in an IK? Both experienced, but not on this stretch, usually Browns. Also would do the raft thing of possible. Any advice?

I'm running it Today with a 13' raft launching early around 9:30-10:00...running to Florida....there is a tricky section below that where I-25 and Santa Fe meet and at the Denver Wastewater Management building at 3rd Ave. Both can be walked around if you want to go to REI.

We ran it on Wednesday night in 2 - 14' rafts. Usually take out at the park on the right before Evans. There is a good watering hole to stop at on river left just before Belleview. You can sit on the patio and watch your gear.

+1 on St. Patricks Brewery on river right just before Oxford bridge.
That run is starting to have the look of a floatable bar crawl with Breck Brewery, Platte River B&G, St. Pats and the watering holes at Belleview bridge. All within steps of the Platte.

This was fun today but bigger than last Saturday. Great surf waves for kayakers...hit straight on if you're in a raft...scout the "dam" at Union ...you can go as far as Florida but I wouldn't go much past that.
