Smith River flows

Thinking of running over to the Smiths next weekend but a bit concerned the flows will be blown out for the gorges. Strong cat boaters but have never run them and have only seen at low water. Big flows now, will drop thru mid week, then more rain heading into weekend. Any local input on what our options may look like? Will Volpert? We have a house reserved in gasquet but hate to make the 10 hr drive if too high (and yes I love big water!)
Many thanks in advance

There is always something to paddle on the Smith. It's hard to tell what the flows will be next weekend this far out.
