Salt Permits are out!!

HI,

First time I have gotten THE SALT PERMIT!!

Looking for some info. Cool stuff not to miss, ect.

I have heard such great things about the canyon, spring in the desert, continuous rapids, and chalk Creek is an awesome camp.

I ordered the new river guide and found the old 1990 one by Glenn Rink.

I am excited. Looks like this will be a kayak trip.

If there are other thread or web site let me know.

How about hiring a shuttle???

What's your launch date for the lottery section? Plan on one night, two days above. Paying the tribe their vig of course.

I will certainly have my important papers.

Is there some hikes or historical places to see??

There is the waterfall at Cibecue.

Regarding some of the Rapids: at quartzite out of the 12 trips or so that I've run -- I've seen carnage on close to half of those that decided to run right. I've always run left and only had a semi-issue at about 1100. I got wedged in an 8' wide boat for a few seconds. Managed to push myself off, with no other issues. The first few Rapids once you launch are run on the far right, even though it may not look that way. My notes and guides are in storage. I've been down at 1100 to 29,000. My favorite flow was at 10,000. Great trip, I have detailed notes on the hikes, it's just been a few years. Can't wait to go again, enjoy!

I'm hoping to get down there soon as well. We'll see. I have the time off, just not the permit..

I don't know if the Rock House is still doing shuttles, but they were awesome and the cheapest 7-8 years ago. They would store your vehicles at their location near the takeout. You would need to walk down and get them. Very good deal, price wise.

Salt Permits are out!!

Shameless begging: if anyone has room for 1-2 peeps, I would love to go. I have lots of room to carry stuff and almost anything to contribute group gear-wise. FYI, if the river pops before the permit season, I'm going if anyone's interested. Preferably, 4 nights, five days.
I'm also interested in running it more than once this spring, so keep me in mind if you need a body or two?
Ken 9four9three7oneseven27two. Hit me up if interested. I'm in Denver for now, so I'm available to carry peeps and gear to the river.

I apologize belatedly McBoater for using your thread to advertise this?😬.
