Rafting the Eagle Source

Have a couple buddies who took a Culebra down the Camp Hale to Redcliff run of the Eagle River last night. They were thinking it might have been the first time rubber has been pushed down that run. Anyone know if that is true or not?

Sean, how did it go? Got any photos?

Half price for that Culebra?

Nice job dudes, I hear that those guys wanted a little more cushion for the pushin' on the fat chicks. I am also curious if anyone has ever taken a raft down that?

Not me

Dave,
I wasn't there, it was Jason Moore and Jake Adams. Sounds like they had good lines and no major swims/ carnage etc.... I'll tell them to post some photos if they have any.

Sorry, sold the last of the Culebras that we had in stock. Can always get more though.

Have a great 4th!

Eagle Source

Thanks for the post.
We ran it at 222 cfs and it went fine. Some of the in-between stuff would have liked @250 or so... but it went....
-Regarding the Two-Fat Chicks section....#1 was right down the middle, we got swallowed and pushed left which set us up nicely for #2....
The kayak line here (left of center) is a little rough as the left slot is not wide enough for the Culebra...we made the drop (in the wash) and ended up turned and twisted on the left bank...next time right down the middle edging left of center (you will miss Rick's Rock) and be ready to move left as the seam coming off Rick's is waiting.
Not Done Yet went fine as well with no major issues.
The take-out is way tough to catch in the Culebra... but all-in-all, well worth the adventure.
Definitely a class IV+ (V- ish?) creek run with a fair bit of mank, but again, a great adventure.

Where did you take out? I scouted last year and that looked like the issue.

Strong work!

We took out next to the foot bridge just below the recommended t/o. Not pretty at all. I recommend hitting the take out (pre-scout when you do shuttle). It is on the left, use the big pine as a landmark.
