Rafting the Apurimac and looking for an outfitter

We're planning a trip to Peru in late October, and would like to hear from anyone that has rafted with an outfitter down the Apurimac near Cuzco. We'd like to do a 3-4 day trip through the class III-V section, and would love to get the inside scoop on a safe, quality outfitter.

Eric Adventures runs many of the trips down the Apurimac. Many of the tour operators in Cusco including Swiss Raft book directly with Eric Adventures even though you think that you are booking with their company. However, the guides at Eric are experienced, fun, and eco-friendly!!! My wife and I went on the 3d/2N trip and had a blast. Another bit of advice...if you aren't on a strict time crunch, go to Cusco and check in with some of the raft companies. Many times they have open spaces on pre-scheduled trips. The last couple of spots on the rafts are usually priced at a huge discount because the guides just need to fill the spaces. Have fun!!!
