Pumphouse ice conditions?

Thinking about heading up to Pumphouse tomorrow (1-26) to do some fishing. I was wondering if anyone has beta on the ice. We are planning on only going to Radium. Anyone been up there lately?

You're kidding right. Its January. Definitely a no go. Lots of ice, frozen completely over in areas and about a two foot wide channel of open water for a long ways where its not covered over. The road is drivable going in but closer to the ramp has about 18"-2' of snow on it. Radium ramp is about the same. Check back in about 6 weeks

Glenwood to South Canyon may be doable if you insist on boating something.

The Ark is clear from Rincon to Coaldale. Water is kinda shallow, but you can certainly float fish it....in fact fishing isn't bad for January. We got out there yesterday and had a pleasant time.

The South Canyon boat ramp is gated by the BLM. It doesn't get any sun in the winter and won't be open until probably April. RIverbend, or New Castle could work but much of that will be in shade and cold. New Castle to Silt is sunny and is the best option early in the season. Especially if Christian has gotten down there and shoveled the ramps.
