Pumphouse

Im looking to run the Colorado, Pumphouse to either radium or rancho. I did this several years ago and it was really mellow, but I don't remember the CFS and want to bring my dog. Is there a dog friendly CFS? He has a PFD and is a really good swimmer but I don't want to risk him getting hurt at all... From what I remember he would love it at the CFS I did years ago but I know the water was just really high and want to be super safe about it or not do it at all.. Thanks! If there are any other dog appropriate rivers/CFS that you know of I would greatly appreciate it! Click image for larger version

3000ish and under is just fine in my opinion. Obviously there is always a chance of tragedy when a dog ends up in the water but I have no hesitations about taking mine out there at this level.

I took my 10 LB rat dog down a couple of years ago, no problem. At least with the trip itself; the dog was pissed for about a week, cause, you know, she got wet.

Agree with sleepless to be wary. Now is a relatively "safe" time to bring water loving dog on this section. We've stopped bringing my jack Russell who is a constant distraction and would gladly bring our lab on this segment now since it is off peak now. Go and enjoy!

Just a heads up - it's back up to almost 4000 cfs out there. Keep an eye on the gauge if you're concerned about the levels....
