Just wanted to say thanks for everyone's input before I bought my new to me 18 Aire Cataraft!

Actually I never asked, all i did was read this forum for about a month and soaked everything in...

Little about myself... I used to raft like crazy when I was in college and there for more than a few years after that. Kind of gave it a about a 15 year break, with the occasion trip down the Deschutes.
I grew up steelhead fishing in a buddies drift boat. My first stink behind the sticks was an eventful day when he hooked a fish above the forks of the north and south... pretty eventful!
I recently got back into rafting as my father in law loves doing it. My 8 year old son and I took a 3 night trip down the John Day recently, using one of my father in laws rafts... He picked up a fishing rod at 8 am and didn't put it down until we pulled into camp for the evening... After about the first day, I knew I was buying something.
So I flooded myself multiple times a day with craiglists adds and finally came across something I liked. An 18' Aire with a custom steel frame.

After purchasing it, we made a trip down the Grande Ronde, which was way to short in my eyes. My son was in Alaska at the time, so he didn't get to go, but we still had a blast.

I just backed it into the shop for the summer as the tuna are within reach.

Glad to pull info from you guys!
