New Rafter

Hi All,

I am a new rafter looking to purchase a raft that I can store on my trailer that can be used in Branson, MO and Mermac River. It would be for my daughter (9) and myself. I am a beginner and have come accross some craiglist stuff that I am not sure that is junk. Looking for your opinion.

That actually sounds like a pretty good deal at $800. Make sure there is no separation/delamination at the seams

Inflate the opposite chambers and look for blown baffles. The uninflated chambers should stay uninflated
Its not self bailing? A floor can get pretty torn up. Look carefully at the condition of the floor. You can also fill this with water and look for it to leak out.

Soapy water and a spray bottle is a good way to search for porosity leaks. If you get tiny bubbles everywhere its probably gonna need to be repumped up during a trip

$600 for a Puma!? That sounds like a crazy good deal if they're in good shape.

Either of those is a way better deal than anything I've ever seen around here.
But you'll need lots of other stuff to get going.

Hell, I'd buy all 5 Pumas and bring them up here and double your money!

That doesn't look like a puma to me... 3 perimeter chambers, and not enough rocker/too wide... Also, a puma is self bailing. With the serial # aire will tell you everything you need to know, but I have never seen an aire bucket boat.

I have 3 chambers on my SD Puma,I'm pretty sure. But it does look like there's not enough rocker as most Pumas. Still a pretty good deal. Must be hard to sell boats in the Midwest...
