Need help-firepan ASAP

Hey guys, I know I'm gonna sound like a amateur but I made it from vail all the way to Loma and I forgot the firepan. Is there anyone with the kindness of their heart to let me borrow one until the 22nd? Please let me know! Greatly appreciated. Greatly! My name is Bob and my number is 970-390-4020

When I leave the house I always think I forgot something...well this time I did

Thanks for your time!

Go to auto supply in Loma or GJ and buy an aluminum oil change pan.

even a metal garbage can lid may work. Couple years ago i showed up at Ladore and had done the same thing, so looking behind the ranger residence there were some old metal garbage cans and while i took the lid from one of the cans and passed it off as my fire pan and it worked. (ha ha)

Garbage can lid works in Oregon. Not sure about other states.

20ish dollars at the auto store will get you a quality and durable firepan.

Call around first. Most auto stores only sell these in plastic lately. Assuming you find a metal one it will probably be galvanized not aluminum.

Go to Rimrock in Fruta. They'll get you set up with a rental

Thanks for the replies. I actually just sucked it up and owned up to my mistake and drove back to vail to grab it. Just had to lose a few hours of Z's

Appreciate the good advice though

Aluminum will melt. You need steel. Get some kid's old Radio Flyer wagon and take off the wheels.
