Multiday raft trip employment

Anybody have any suggestions regarding 2017 multiday employment opportunities in Idaho, Colorado and/or Oregon. Experienced east coast guide looking for a change of scenery. TIA

First thing you need (for Idaho) is a guide license. Check with IOGA for current requirements.

There aren't that many multi-days in Colorado with the exception of Yampa and Green in Dinosaur and the Dolores (rarely runs). Upper Animas and Piedra can be an overnight and probably some others. Idaho might be your best bet (Middle Fork/Main/Lower Salmon, Selway, Snake). You didn't mention Utah or AZ but there are some good multi-days in those states as well.

Agreed that there are not a lot of great multi day options in CO. UT is a much better multi day state.

For CO look at Rimrock and Adventure Bound in Grand Junction. Probably some good outfits in SW CO (Durango) as well but I'm not too familiar with any of them besides Mild 2 Wild.

In UT most outfits are out of Moab, and then there are also options for the San Juan in Bluff and then Lodore out of Vernal/Jensen. Look at Sheri Griffith in Moab they have tons of permits.

We have a TON of companies out here running multi days! Just google it but here are some of our folks we dig;

Northwest Rafting Company
H20 Adventures
Far and Away Adventures
Canyons
River of No Return Outfitters
Hell's Canyon Raft
Payette River Company (PRC)
Epley's Whitewater Adventures
Mountain River Outfitters

I can go on but that should get you started! I hope that helps, good luck, there is really not much more beautiful than the waters of Idaho (and WA, and OR, and and and haha!)

Kindly,
Renee

Look at OARS, we primarily run multi day trips throughout the west.
