Middle Fork American during spring

I guided the Middle Fork for 4 years and stopped a few years ago so it's not a new river to me, but never ran during spring. I remember people saying that high water (2000 cfs+) on the MF makes tunnel chute a bit sketchy.

I'm planning a trip with some buddies this spring (end of April) and I'd like to take them down the Middle Fork but with the rain we've been getting around here this year I imagine the flows will still be at 2000+ cfs at the very least.

Does anyone have any experience running the MF at high waters? Would rather do the MF over the SF because it's generally more exciting but given the flows not sure if it'd be worth it/safe enough.
