Lost: Roll A Cot

Lost a roll a cot just below granite rapid on the Snake. Had to at least mention it here!

Total bummer. I love roll-a-cots. You will not get it back if I find it

Did you toss it in the water or leave in camp for the next guy?

Sorry for your loss, hope you get it back.

No worries! Lost it in a flip due to poor rigging. Roll a Cots are the best so figured if someone found it, we might nit get it back but then again, the river gods will be watching!

+1 for the roll-a-cot! Sorry for your loss, those babies don't float.

I'm thinking roll a cots do not float very well . Now lets check up on your rigging priority's. Did you loose any beers? I'm betting, drum roll, not.

You'd be surprised what floats sometimes - years ago we found a blue roll top table floating in an eddy on Deso. Sure would have thought one of those would have sunk like a stone!

I am still using my original roll a cot purchased many decades ago and used a bunch. Some of the velcro has unraveled but that is the only damage, still works like new. But, I have always placed the cot in a properly sized dry bag. Not sure if this setup floats but it has kept the cot dry and protects other gear from the roll a cot frame..

on the other hand, due to the mesh construction, if a person just tossed a roll a cot into a big mesh gear bag, my bet is the cot would dry fast even if the boat happened to flip.
