Ladore will be Rockin

Flaming Gorge's hydraulic engineer has just released plans to increase the average flow from Flaming Gorge Dam to 2,200 cfs. Beginning October 1, 2015, Flaming Gorge Dam releases will increase at a rate of 50 cfs/day to 2,200 cfs by October 10, 2015. It is anticipated that releases will remain at the average daily release of 2,200 cfs with hourly fluctuations for hydropower through February 29th, 2016.
By October 10th, 2015, the flow will be fluctuating from a low of 1,560 cfs between 10:00PM and 3:00AM, to a high of 2,910 cfs between 6:00PM and 8:00PM - as stated this release will then continue from October 10th, 2015, through a projected end date of February 29th, 2016.
Thus, peak flow of 2,910 cfs will be to Gates of Lodore at approximately 6:00-8:00AM, the Hell's Half Mile area at approximately 9:00-11:00AM, and Split Mountain at approximately 6:00-8:00PM.

I'm puttin in at Flaming Gorge on 10/11 and floating through Lodore on 10/14. Great water flows, low 70's, and tons of sun. Seems like a perfect trip! Rangers will still be checking permits.

You still need a permit and there is only one granted per day. A couple just opened for end of October, but nothing in early or mid.
