Green River Lodore

Going on a Lodore trip in Sept. Thinking of doing the A,B, and C sections then floating into the ramp at the Lodore put in, either the day before, or on launch day. Couldn't find any info on the NPS web site whether or not they still allow you to do this. Anyone have current beta? Thanks

A play permit is required to float to the put in. Talk to Kelly at dino, she will set ya up with the needed paper work.

You'll be pushing not floating into the ramp. Super flat, super slow thru BPNWR before getting to Gates. Hope it's not blowin!

We floated the dam to split mtn last sept. Get on the river the early!, its flat and with the wind it was slow, I mean pulling as hard as you can to keep moving at all in the wind in 4-8" deep water in Browns Park and the closer we got to Lodore the slower the river. Glad I did it but it was some work.
And yes you do need a permit from the river office to float in Scott asked to see the permit when we checked out.
