Green River Daily

For some reason I forget about how close the Green River daily is to home (Grand Junction, CO). I have a beginning boater friend and I know that stretch would be great for him. I've heard the launch at Nefertiti could be a challenge. I've only floated by on Deso trips. Our boats are inflated on trailers. Any thoughts or experience?

I was just there. The ramp and road are both in good shape. You'll need two cars to set your own shuttle. Have fun....... great stretch that we do every year.

It gets a little trickier to launch from a trailer at Nefertiti at lower water, but it's still doable. We backed down the steep edge as far as we could and pushed it over some mud and rocks. Easy enough with 3-4 strong people but we probably would have had to de-rig a little otherwise. Probably a piece of cake when it's high like it is now.
