Fraser River

Has anyone been on the Fraser river yet this season? I know the gauges are reading pretty low still but thought I would ask. I am looking for some beta on the run and if its doable in a 13ft paddle raft. Concerns for any wood?

Any intel would be much appreciated

Cheers!

It's way too low right now. I am not to confident it will get high enough this year. All the low elevation snow is gone and Denver water gets most of the water that comes from above 10000 feet. There is still a chance if all the stars line up right! We'll see...

I see the Frasier is running over 1200 right now. I'll be at Granby Ranch for a wedding this weekend and debating on bringing the raft. Anyone know if there's any lumber to be worried about in the river right now?

Bring the raft. As of a couple days ago, the run is clear.

The put-in on Ranch Creek is on private property. The landowner will grant permission to launch as long a you follow the rules. Local boaters have agreed to manage the put-in for her. If you follow the basic rules, everything is cool. Send me a PM and I'll get you a Permission to Launch Slip. Local Boaters have no interest in deciding who can and can't launch. That said, the privilege was disrespected last year and the Sheriff got involved. Please follow the rules and be respectful so everyone can continue to enjoy this beautiful wilderness run.

BE QUIET & QUICK @ THE PUT-IN.

NO LOITERING PLEASE. BLOW UP THE BOATS ON THE BLM ROAD AND THEN PROCEED TO THE PUTIN, AFTER THE SHUTTLE IS COMPLETED. 15 MINUTES IS THE MAXIMUM TIME TO BE AT THE PUT-IN.

2 VEHICLES MAX PER GROUP. PARK ON BLM ROAD. NORTH SIDE ONLY. ABSOLUTELY NO GARBAGE OR CIGARETTE BUTTS TO BE LEFT BEHIND.

IF YOU SEE GARBAGE PLEASE PICK IT UP. WATCH FOR THE LOW BRIDGE BY THE PINE TREES ON RANCH CREEK.

THE HOLDER OF THIS PERMISSION SLIP, & THEIR GUESTS, ACCEPT ALL LIABILITY FOR THEMSELVES & THEIR GROUP PUTTING IN & RUNNING THE RIVER.

IF EVERYONE IN YOUR GROUP HAS NOT SIGNED A WAIVER, YOU ARE TRESPASSING! PLEASE REMEMBER THAT USE OF THIS PUT-IN IS A PRIVILEGE. WE MUST RESPECT THE OWNER’S WISHES TO KEEP THIS GREAT PRIVILEGE

If you feel these rules are unreasonable, please find another section of river to run or walk down the tracks and take your chances with the railroad.
