Filter plant shuttles

How do most people run shuttles on filter plant? Seams like a pain to have to drive two cars. Any other options? I am talking raft with trailer too, not that it matters.

Thumb!

Stand on the road in your boating gear and stick out your thumb. You'll get a ride. DO NOT be mistaken for a tuber. If I see you, I will give you a ride! Want company? I love FP!

Thanks for the responses. Hitching was my plan just good to know it is normal practice. My local rivers in Oregon all had cheap shuttle services but they where also much longer floats where shuttles were needed. Going to try to get out with a friend tomorrow but will probably be running solo often so company would be good.

Dont go solo.

FP is a nice float, but don't go alone. You can easily find peeps to go with you. I can't say I have never done it, but you never know what could happen. Be safe and pick up a tuber, at least.

I could not imagine actually floating solo. I mean I will often be solo when looking to head to the river. At that point looking for friends or new friends interested in going. I use to float in Oregon solo but I floated to go fishing. Bigger rivers but easier water then filter plant. I am new to this area and the floating for the sake of just floating. Planning on just lapping filter plant for some time to see if I get the bug. I love to float so I am excited but floating with out waders and rods will be new to me.

At what high water level does filter plant become to fast? Does it get wild above 4 ft?

filter plant is my go-to solo run at high water. i stop running bridges solo around 3 feet or so.
everyone looks for different things in their boating. soloing has given me some of the best experiences i've ever had on the river. it's all what you make of it.
the whole "never go alone" attitude is absurd and way too generalized. stay well within your comfort level, of course. but solo 50 days in a season and you'll be rethinking the whole soloing taboo.

and yes, it's great at 4feet. moving fast, but still pretty forgiving.
even better at 5feet

Bigben. When you do go solo do you drop your boat and leave it unattended while you shuttle your rig? Do you put in at gateway?
