Favorite Late Fall Rivers To Run in OR

I've always rubbed my raft down with 303 and covered it up for the fall and winter. I live on the Rogue and haven't gotten around to other rivers in the fall.

Any thoughts on the Umpqua, John Day, Deschuttes, or others.

My favorite OR fall run.

McKenzie / Olallie -> Paradise / Spawning salmon, fall colors, old growth timber, warm springs, weird river fog if you catch it right.

The North Umpqua is still at a runable level for rafts.

Kind of bony this time of year, and even if it's got enough water, the river is CLOSED due to the Umpqua North fire complex.

I'm gonna have to make it out to Mckenzie this year then. Haven't run it yet and I really want another run soon

A couple friends and I are thinking about a November McKenzie run. I keep you informed as to the date. Most likely the first or second Saturday.

Let me know, with a week notice that could work for me. I just run an old miwok bucket boat as a paddle set up, I gotta get a crew together.

North Santiam can be fun in the fall. They release Detroit Lake to get capacity ready for the rainy season and the river comes back up after the low late summer levels.
