AV, sorry if you had already written a couple paragraphs bashing glued PVC boats. Just save it in a file to post next time.

Way to hold back the saturn bashing on the guy who just shared his homemade bimini.

I know. i was off my game --- I just found out from Laura i made an epic mistake with purchasing an Aire product. Thank god i prefer class II boating

But shit in my defense cant even find a datasheet for their boat designs on the Sotar web site i think Sevylor even posts more data

I guess those who know ...

I'm glad i could help. Sotar makes boats, not websites. Yes their info sucks but i guess they are too busy making boats. I didn't say aire boats are bad, just that sotar is hands down the performance boat. An airehead friend and i go round and round- he wants an easy to repair boat with a good warranty and quality control. I want a performance boat. I just wouldn't take a brand new sotar on a mutiday with a few day runs on it to make sure they were on their game when they made the boat. Even he admits the wd is chasing the legend.

I thought Johnny Cash was the legend?

I went with Aire instead of Sotar (even though Sotar is a local Oregon product) for the following reasons

1) 10 year vs 6 years warrantee
2) no fault warrantee
3) 18' standard cat option
4) aire knows how to put stuff on their website
5) only Sotar i could afford is Tan

My limited understanding is the Sotar material is more durable but fixing a damaged boat can be time consuming and you are on your own dime for the repairs

Now a river babe like you takes much better care of your gear (when its upright) than me. And you dont typically pile on 1000 lbs of gear on your boat when you speak of performance ...

So what do you think of Pro-loks? I'm thinking of trying them out

1200 lbs on the 14" raft is cake for a low water mfs trip. Did i mention it's a sotar too? Damn, supposed to be on one of those trips now- damn damn damn!

Have i told you how well those sotar boats run backwards, with one oar, through the wrong line?
