Can you take out at Pearce Ferry?

Has anyone used the ramp there recently?

I've just heard that the low lake level has rendered the ramp inaccessible. Is this true or is the situation much like Cataract where it can be very difficult but still doable at times?

I have not even considered running Pearce Ferry for the last few years. Without the PF ramp, Diamond Down doesn't really work any more, at least for me.

We took out there on 17May2016 and it was fine (except for some bossy commercial motor boaters).

It is open at this time, but Pearce Ferry Rapid, just a 1/2 mile downriver, is chewing through the sediment ridge that is making the rapid. When that happens, the ramp will change very very quickly as up to six feet of downcutting may rapidly occur. This is very different to the North Wash take-out below Cat. Again, it hasn't happened yet and the ramp is open. Have a Great trip! Yours, tom

The Steel Launch Way Ramp is reserved for boat trailers, regulations advise to stay off it. Theres room for one party upstream of the ramp. and up to 3 or so downstream.

The silt is First come first serve, regardless of what an old crusty dude from the area might suggest") There is no commercial side and private side FYI.

From 240-280M a night float is approximately 12-14 hours. Trips lately have been sliding in approximately at 13 hours. If you leave around Seperation at 6pm you will arrive in the cool morning at 7am! And that is why nightfloating to PF is actually faster than de-rigging at DC
