Bring an SUP

Hi -

I'm more of a kayaker than a rafter - so sorry.

My friend wants to bring along 2 SUPs on a Ruby Horsethief raft trip we are doing soon. But they would only be in use about 1/3 of the time.

If they aren't able to deflate - how do you rig them?
He suggested towing behind the raft - that seems like a lot of drag and extra work to me - is it? Or does it not make a difference.

Also - if anyone has a picture of it rigged to a raft - I would appreciate that.

Thanks!

I tried to find a picture of mine but failed, we run a trip on my 15 every year, and the sup always comes. I strap it to the top the of stack on the stern. you could make it a front bench seat. But that might drive your rower crazy. I think that if it were a tight, bigger water river I'd just roll, cam strap a pump, it doesnt take long.

Cats rule for this!
Mine just docks between the tubes ez-pezy. If it's flat water and someone is taking a break we just clip a caribeener from a D-ring on the board to a strap on the front of the boat and cinch her tight. If we're filleting the gnarfish, we strap the other end up too. I've run Westwater many time like this; don't even know that the SUP is there.
