Big drop 2 change?

Hey buzzards
We just got off cataract at about 30,000, we had two s rigs and two row boats, seemed to me that the claw had softened out, almost as off its tipped over or something? we had the row boats run clean right over the top of where the claw used to be,

I also remember the claw being pretty abusive around 30, anyway y'all know more then I do, keep your eyes peeled and let me know if anybody observes anything different.

Interesting observation mrbaum. I'm sure we'll find out as the water drops later in the season what the story is with The Claw. Large boulders have moved at least twice in Big Drop #2 in the past century.

Thanks to the Kolb Brothers' (1911) & Buzz Holmstrom's (1937) photos and the follow up photos from the same vantage points by Steve Tharnstrom et al. in the mid 1990s, it was observed that at least 3 large boulders have completely disappeared on RR in BD #2, possibly ending up in the deep water between BD 2 & 3.

I wonder if this is the same fate for the Claw? No skin off my back if it is

Sorry for the thread bump but just curious if anyone can confirm that The Claw is either much more mellow or gone? Got an invite to go do it next weekend and I'm curious.

Ha... well at least I got to swim right through the middle of it this April before it disappeared. I'll cherish that memory...
