Air medical insurance

I'm doing the Middlefork at the end of summer and I'm looking at renewing my medical air flight Insurance. Does anyone happen to know what company does the air lifts out of that area?

Relax, all right? My old man is a television repairman, he's got this ultimate set of tools. I can fix it.

Life Flight Network

Hey I live and work here at the hospital in Salmon Idaho.. We have three different options, or at least had.. There is life flight network, air Idaho, and med star.. Life flight network just took over med star here and has reciprocity with air Idaho.. It is reasonable priced and living where I do and as much time as I spend in the back country it's stupid not to have it.. It doesn't take much to earn a flight out of here. never know when a appendicitis might happen and the surgeon is out of town.

Might want to check your health insurance, I received a 20k flight a year ago but my insurance covered all of it but a measly $100.

DeLorme Inreach Explorer GPS doohickey. Has satellite SMS texting capability with an SOS feature. Comes with optional $200k rescue insurance for $12 per year. Just a though, but I could have mis-read your intent.

There is obviously an initial cost, plus a basic monthly subscription. This is well worth it in my mind - but in the off season I'm snowmobiling in the back country so I use the device religiously all-year-round.

...oh, and you can share/split the cost by setting up a buddy's info on your account page. Keeps cost down.

I work for an air ambulance company in the NW. The "Memberships" sold by Life Flight Network and others usually cover your entire household for about $60. They will still bill your insurance but whatever is not covered is waived for no out of pocket expense for you. If no insurance the whole thing is waived.

I think it's worth it considering our average Heli flight gets billed out at between $30k-$40k.

And as Cody said they all accept each others memberships in that area.

12 minute ride was 20k for me I was worried as I did not have any memberships. Luckily my health insurance covered it. I can still remember laying on the gurney the Dr cutting into my chest wall to place a chest tube, (lots of fun no pain meds at that point.) Despite the pain I was apologizing to my wife for the cost of the life flight. Only complaint is there is absolutely no view my nose was what seemed an inch from the ceiling not that it mattered I remember rolling into it and nothing else.
