Navajo Reservoir Spring Peak Release- San Juan River

Folks-

The spring peak release schedule has been set for Navajo Reservoir. See the website (link below) for daily updates and details.

Next Thursday (April 27th) we will increase the release from Navajo Reservoir to 1,000 cfs. We'll hold that until the spring peak release begins, the next Wednesday (May 3rd). We will increase to 5,000 cfs over about 2-3 weeks, then hold at 5,000 cfs for about 35 days. The exact schedule will depend on coordination with local agencies and river conditions.

I'll be updating our public notices webpage with release changes and information. But since we'll be deep in operations and making changes every day or two, I will not post every one on this forum. So keep checking the website here:

Are there any concerns about floating mobiles homes keeping you from hitting 5k this year? Hopefully you flushed them all last year...

Thanks Susan, looking forward to a month of high water!

We are hoping the longer ramp-up alleviates the issues we had last year. We'll be working closely with local agencies during the event again, so we are optimistic we will get to 5,000 cfs.

Glad we have enough snowpack to do another long release!
