Deadline Tomorrow - Sign On to Help Protect the Gila and San Francisco Rivers (NM)

Hey boaters! Have you paddled the Gila or San Francisco Rivers in New Mexico? Would you like to? Would you like your grandchildren to be able to? American Whitewater is working with the Gila River Coalition to push forward Wild and Scenic River legislation for these rivers, securing long-term protections. We are gathering public support through a Citizen Support Letter which will be shared with Senators Udall and Heinrich next week! The letter is open to the public until tomorrow at noon! Please sign on and share with all your friends. Here is a link to our news post for more info, as well.

Thanks!!

Most know how much difference a Citizen Support Letter makes to the current crop of criminals, Stinky Zinke & the Orange Mango "Genius." I will go fill in the blanks on your link, but don't fool yourself or anyone: the only thing that will affect this decision is to change Congress (the opposite of "progress.") How many Wild & Scenic designations have you seen since 1992?

I don't think any of us are under the impression that the current administration or our current congressional representatives are going to push forward a proposal for new Wild and Scenic Rivers..... However, it can still be extremely beneficial to have letters of public support on file when representation (hopefully) changes in the near future.

15 days ago the East Rosebud designation was passed by congress and signed by the President, making it Montana's first WSR Designation since 1976! A huge win. You have to look at the positives too
