Sale and Customer Service:
Good organization, interpersonal and communication skills with self-motivation are qualities Down River is looking for in a new member of our sales team. You must be outgoing, able to provide an enjoyable experience for every customer, have general computer skills (aptitude with Microsoft Office and web-based programs are essential) and able to lift 50 pounds. Preference will be given to applicants who have prior retail and river running experience.
Responsibilities include sales (both retail and wholesale), customer service, product knowledge, custom product design, merchandising, inventory maintenance, light assembly, decanting of glues/solvents and backing up warehouse & production staff.
Down River Equipment is a small company that has been in business for 28 years providing rafting gear A-Z; specializing in manufacturing, distributing and retailing quality rafting and river equipment. DRE is most known for custom aluminum fabrication; rowing frames, kitchen boxes, camp tables and more. We distribute Sawyer, Carlisle, Advanced Composite, Extrasport, Engel and our own line of rafting Cargo Gear, made in Colorado. We are a seasonal business with the bulk of our business occurring from April through August. Compensation varies depending on experience. This position is scheduled to start mid-March.
