Software Upgrades @ the Buzz

As you can see Mountain Buzz has had a full overhaul in the software running our site. There is still tons of tweaking that needs to be done but we wanted to get the site up and running so we will be working on things and outline upgrades in this post in the next few days.

Here is a list of tutorials that will help in your transition to the new Buzz.

UPDATE: I am still getting a lot of things tweaked and wanted to give you an update on some of the items that have been resolved.

1. There seems to have been some strange data brought over in the conversion. This is an old job field that has found it's way into you City profile field. I added the City, State profile fields just below your avatar so people can easily see where other members are from. You might notice some people have their profession listed here and the reason is that this old data was brought over from the software conversion.

To update your city and state, just go to the User Control Panel drop down at the top and then to Edit Profile (or click here).

2. There was an error with the Swap where some items were listed under other members names. We found the bug and all items should be listed under the proper sellers name. If you had contacted a seller in the last week and not heard back, please contact them again. The message might have been sent to the wrong person.

Check out this post for info on Videos

If you are talking about uploading the files, you will have to use a 3rd party site for that right now and link to it but I am talking to a company about offering a tool to upload your videos and edit them. That way you can add your own music tracks, fades, etc. The videos won't be as tight as the stuff some of our members are doing with Adobe Premier, Final Cut Pro or Avids but will allow an average Joe a way to take video with your digi and upload it and cut it to make a flick. I'll post more about that when I shore things up with the firm that offers that technology...
