Sure can, The asking price is $3800.00. The raft has been used maybe once or twice a year for family trips. I do not know the year of the boat. I can't find the serial number anywhere on the boat, but I'm guessing it's a late 90's era boat. Most of the gear that comes with the boat is from AAA in Denver.
Does anyone know where Aire hides the serial number on their boats?
Here's the back story. The owner of the boat was diagnosed with brain cancer last Christmas and died a few weeks ago. Very sad story. I met John through rafting and the high school trips I use to help guide on, called Senior Seminar. He was one of the teachers and soon after the program ended, he started teaching at a charter school. The school is called community prep and he ended up putting together a rafting trip on the San Juan for the students. I jumped in and helped organize the trip with several USAFA guides. The rest is history as we have continued doing these trips together over the last years he's been with us. After the first trip down the San Juan, we graduated back to Desolation canyon....his favorite place to be. I kind of knew that this years April trip might be his last. He wanted to go again this summer, but his condition worsened.
I have so enjoyed these High School trips with him over the years. Each trip has been a life changing experience for so many people, because of his efforts to bring them to Desolation Canyon. His spirit and love of the canyon will forever live in Desolation. I'll be talking to him again on my next trip down.
