open thread to last viewed?

somehow in the last few months, I now get sent to the top of any topic, even if I've read it before. It used to open to where it thought I had read. While it wasn't always right, it was close.

I don't think I changed any settings, and can not find one that seems related.

Is there a way to make it open to last viewed, so you don't have to scroll through all the posts I've read to read one new one?

That doesn't seem to work. Even when it is there, it doesn't take me to it. On some threads it is not there. I think Dave is talking that it used to automatically just open the thread to the correct page and post. Now I just get the latest post (I know I can choose first or recent).

It happened to me when the site was "upgraded" a month or two ago.

I'm not sure why this is but think it's probably browser related. Can you let me know what browser and version you're using?

i'm using Safari and accessing the main MB portal. By clicking (or in my case touching) the left side blue highlighted box with the V, it takes me to the newest post I haven't yet read.

When I use the MB app, it automatically takes me there.
