We just lost a great one!

Sad news, one of my hero's has passed!
https://www.thedenverchannel.com/new...ler-dead-at-93

I had the pleasure of working and skiing with Mr Miller a number of times and he was an incredible person. His movies were an annual event throughout my youth and one of my most cherished memories revolves around meeting Warren and Scott Schmidt back stage just before premier night... I was one of many that night that got the honor of drawing tickets for prizes during intermission. It was my first experience with him but not my last.

I was fortunate enough to get to work with him again in the early Y2K's for several years at YC and learned that he was a hell of a man. I got the chance to talk with him in depth. I even got to ski with him a few times, definitely some of the proudest moments of my life. I still have a note he wrote thanking me for a little work I did on his skis one day, I will cherish that forever.

Good bye Warren! I wish I could see you next year.... same time, same place!

Yes it is.
I never got to meet him, but going to watch his film every fall was one of the high points of my year, it made waiting for snow tolerable! I knew my life was about to change in a huge and awesome way for the next 6 months.
Definitely feel like my life was enriched by him.

My condolences to his family, and everyone that knew him.

Rip some powder forever Warren.

I had the honor of being in the 88 or 89 film White Winter Heat. No I wasnt skiing. I worked in Vail with a freelance camera man whose assignment for the feature was to gather footage of people carrying their skis in stupid ways. Yep, Thats me in the bolle hat with a ski over each shoulder, poles sticking straight up with boots on top. One of my proudest moments.
