So 42 years ago a bunch of rascals decided that with nothing better to do they'd form a river company.
They called it Rocky Mountain River Expeditions
Their claim to fame was three fold;
1) To actually cook food on the river, not just open cans
2) To hire and train women as guides; remember, this was the early 70's and while the sexual revolution was in full swing, the idea of women actually guiding boats on rivers was, shall we say, crazy.
3) To offer paddle boats and encourage passenger participation in the experience.
They were indeed pioneers, running the upper Colorado, Dolores, North Platte and Arkansas when just about no other outfitter was.
A few years ago, RMRE alumni Dennis Shell Of Stitches and stuff fame (shameless commercial plug) led the charge to have a 40 year reunion, and in 2013 it was held in Kremmling at the Muddy Creek resort.
Now it's time for the 42 year reunion and the success of the first reunion has encouraged us to take the show back to Muddy Creek. Of course, we had to register under false names this time; seems the authorities are still interested in locating some of the participants from 2 years ago.
It will be held September 18-20 in Kremmling and any Rocky Mountain River Expedition alumni (passenger, crew or victim) is welcome.
Here's the other thing;
Reunion T Shirts were available at the last reunion and were a smashing success. So, to take it to the next level, 42nd year reunion T Shirts are available; but this year, those wanting them can order direct from the manufacturer, pay for them, and pick them up at Muddy Creek on September 18.
BUT FAIR WARNING;
THE OPPORTUNITY TO ORDER THEM ENDS ON SEPTEMBER 4TH. ORDER BEFORE THEN OR LOOSE FOREVER
THE OPPORTUNITY TO OWN THIS COLLECTORS ITEM
How, you ask in amazement, is this possible?

Now, Schutzie has been accused of crass commercialism, of being a rapid conservative Republican puke many times, so to blunt the inevitable criticism that will follow this posting, he would only point out that any other buzzard looking for a convenient way to get T Shirts or other stuff for a trip can follow the link, click on the customink logo and discover how they too can have custom designed SWAG for their once in a life time Grand Canyon trip!
