Pinon Pine Nut Cracking!

Does anybody have good techniques they use to deshell these SOBs in a timely fashion?

I'd say I have a half gallon to a gallon of the nuts... they just take a while to crack efficiently. My friend developed a cranking mechanism with a tiny little hopper that feeds them into the gear to crack them, but since a lot of them are different sizes, it only cracks about 60 percent of them.

Any thoughts? heating with agitation? who knows...??

Thanks, I'm hungry!

Never done it on a large scale... usually just used the Leatherman while in camp. Beer helps.
