Moving to Durango

Im moving to Durango in a few weeks and dont really know anyone over there. I am looking for anyone who would be renting a room for a fair price, or if there is a hostel, I saw one on the internet but I dont know if it is still in business.

Also how is the job market over there now??

Thanks-Chase

Check western slope craigslist for housing. There have been more Durango listings on there recently.

Jobs, ummm...

Post up if you want to go boating when the season rolls around.

Chaser,

I have an extra room for a short term place to crash, I'm west of town about 10 minutes.

A far as jobs go, ouch.... The ski area is probably hiring, but horrible pay, and not such a great 'resort'. Good jobs in durango never are advertised, its all word of mouth. There is a revolving door of restaraunt, retail, and fast food jobs in the area, not sure thats what you are looking for. Fall is a strange time here, no snow, no water, your options are hiking and/or hunting for ski season conditioning. Drinking also helps with the transition from summer to dark winter....
