McCain adviser "pals around" with Chalabi

Remember Ahmed Chalabi? He was the Iraqi expat who was convicted of bank fraud in Jordan. Yeah, that guy. The con artist who CONNED the neocons into invading Iraq, and got congressional Republicans to pay his bogus "Iraqi National Congress" group millions. Ring a bell?

Well, it turns out that Randy Scheunemann, McCain's foreign policy adviser (and lobbyist to Georgia at the same time) was, to use Sarah Palin's folksy style, "palling around" with a CONVICTED FELON who happened to play a huge role in getting us into the Iraq debacle.

The McCain campaign is busy playing the "guilt by association" game on Obama while they CONVENIENTLY ignore the douchebags in their own closet.

Nice, eh?

Foul.
If you assert that the Pals Around With Terrorists charge is beneath the belt, then I think this is too.
If guilt by association is bad, it's bad equally for everyone.

Helio - You are absolutely correct. My intention in posting the Scheunemann example (obviously not made clear) was to point out the hypocrisy. By not spelling out the hypocrisy of their guilt by association folly, I erred.

It was more than mere guilt by association in the case of Chalabi,Wolfowitz and Perle, the Chicago boys. They were literally pals from college. The neo cons cooked up Iraq and tried to replace Saddam with Chalabi .Remember 'Curveball' he was Chalabi's nephew ,if I am not mistaken, fed us a bunch of bogus intelligence.

Don't know of his relationship or lack there of with Chalabi, but there is something suspect about this Scheunemann guy.I also heard that Palin as governor hired a guy that was a close underling of Jack Abramoff .If that were true would it be guilt by association or establish a relationship betwixt the two/their proxies ?The thing is not to jump to conclusions, but that doesn't mean that there isn't some relationship to be wary of.We don't need to use dirty tactics we have enough legit' stuff.

Scheunemann was a member of the PNAC, the neoclowns who jammed the Iraq war down the throat of quivering, imbecilic, post-911 Bush...

It was the majority of the U.S. that was for the war not ahh one person telling bush to go for it. im sure if the mojority of the country was against it in the first place bush wouldn't be in the position he is today.

Mike - It is true that the majority of Americans supported the war initially. It is also true that they were NeoConned into believing the war was "necessary" by Cheney, Rummie, Wolfie, Perle, Scheunemann and their good "pal" Ahmed Chalabi, the conman who conned the neoconmen.

even without knowing the legistics from your noted names above, the majoirty of the U.S. population was in it for revenge, not because somebody told them some shit. kinda like Pearl Harbor in WW2 and the later bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

i do agree with you however, that the more that our big guys pushed for it the more america listened; not trusting the government is one thing in history that we should've learned by now.

I'm sure that Darth Cheney came up with the notion of invading Iraq all on his own, and his dark jedi mind tricks have ruled Bush-the bumblefuck since 9/11.
