Anyone else feel slightly put off by this: www.kayak.com is an online travel agency site.

Hello, willkommen and bienvenue.

Thank you for visiting Kayak.com - the first travel site to be named after an Inuit boat (Igloo.com -- eat your heart out!). We're not a travel agency and, unlike other travel sites, we don't sell anything. Which means we don't charge a commission on your trip.

Our handy, intuitive and fun tools search hundreds of websites to help you find the right flight, hotel and rental car for the perfect trip. Not to mention at the best price.

Life's a trip. Take it.
Seems corny to me. What do you guys think?

Yea the name is pretty random considering what it is?

But I gotta tell you it is a sweet site and its putting a hurting on many of the big guys like Orbitz & Travelocity etc.

Bottom line. It works very well!

I couldn't care less what they do with the domain name. What strikes me as odd, though, is that I think kayak.com used to be owned by Perception and link to their site. Go figure.
Join up, suckas.

you will not find lower airfares online than you will in the tiny ads in the Sunday travel section of the paper, period.Computer dudes are always tryin' to prove me wrong they NEVER do, at best they find the same fare.
