Is Obama already failing?

Features: 'No, he canā€™t' by Bartle Bull | Prospect Magazine April 2009 issue 157

I've never believed Obama's policies and promises were bound to do anything other than fail. It seems some people around the world believe it has already happened!

The idiology he campaigned on and openly subscribes too, long ago proved itself a failure and has been recorded by history. This is the reason myself and other conservatives/libertarians cannot support him. It's not because we are racist haters or wish him to fail! I think he's intelligent, well educated and I'm sure he's a swell guy!!! But that doesn't make him an expert at running the world economy!

I don't want to hear a damn thing about what Bush did. I'm not defending Bush! This is about what is happening NOW and what is going to affect the future of this country moving forward! Even if you thought you supported Obama in the election how can you blindly support the bankrupting of our country! If you have any desire for a better future, now is the time to voice your desent.

Overcome your pride and speak now! Voting him out in 4 years won't stop the damage! Most of you voted for him in protest of the war, that was his selling point in the beginning. He's leaving 50,000 troops in Iraq! Most of you did not vote for this radical domestic agenda. If he succeeds... it will change America in ways you never thought were possible!

You sir, Are a troll.

In 5 months, you have posted almost 300 times. Most of them here in the political forum. Do you really boat, or are you like Mr. Compasionate, and just a poser. You are not really insightful, nor thought provoking. Your defiantly not funny.

On a note to your topic, He is the F'n president. You don't have to like it, or his policies. I'm not sure I agree with everything the CONGRESS, SENATE or PRESIDENT has done either. But theirs only 1 way to find out. LET IT RIDE. Do ya think that McSame or Bush would have had a better answer. Not on your life.

Get off your ass, finish your day and go home toi play with you little man. If he's anything like mine, you'll be so involved in fun and games with a 2 year old that the economy won't mean dick.

ALSO: turn off invisible mode in your prefs panel. Only a coward would post like that.

I work out of my home office which affords me the ability to spend time voicing my opinions... I play with my little boy off and on all day long. I spend more time with him in a week than most parents spend with their kids in a year. Last year he booked well over 400 miles on my raft and over 40 nights camping. He's already bagged 25 miles on the water this year. How many do you have? I don't need to be told how to spend time with my pride and joy. If you had any true concern about your two year old, you would pay more attention to what's happening!

Hey, I'm busy, OK? Do you think I can just sit around and catch CasperMikey? Hell no, if I'm going to be the all-time Eddypost Champeen, I gots to stay busy. I'm concerned that my week of Communist Indoctrination and absence from the Buzz will seriously set me back. And boating season is coming up soon as well.

I will, however, take a moment away from my frenetic posting to read that Heritage Foundation drivel you linked to. It will be as much fun as the recent copy of National Review that I read. Man, you conservos sure have some constipation issues.

Don't forget to read the Prospect article in the initial post, good read!

By the way Brendendo, I thought this was a debate forum... why is it that when someone has a different point of view, that person should pack it up and go away. What's the deal, you only want to hear from people you agree with? Nice debate forum...

I'd have to say the opposite--Obama is succeeding at getting his agenda thru Congress in the first 90 days of his presidency to a degree that hasn't been seen in a generation. And it's an ambitious agenda. That's what's got wingnuts' collective heads spinning!

And that's really the only measure by which his presidency can be honestly measured at this point, because good or bad, his policies haven't had any time to have an effect yet. You and the Prospect would screech that those same policies as a disaster whether they were enacted or not...

Don't worry Yarmony,
Blake's a little ripper. He's been on the river, the ski hill and likes a snowmo action.

I also work for myself. Home office and a office. (wife works out the house as well... needed to get more done) So I'm right there with you. I spend more time with my kid than most people get, and I feel really lucky that he and I have that luxury.

Not really a pissing match. What I was saying, is that instead of posting in the eddy (or swamp) you be better spending Your time enjoying your child. That why we as a people elected the governing bodies.

Just a hunch that you are a troll and a poser. I think you'd probably post more in the actual boater forum with 400 plus river miles.

to note on your post, I still believe the man is on point. I have to he's OUR commander in chief. Did you scream about bushes tax cuts, or outrages spending in Iraq, or his failed tax rebate stimulus, or his October stimulus bill?

No, I don't mind a difference in opinion. I'd probably share a beer and a shuttle with you. I'm just pointing out that you post 1 hell of a lot, and 99% of it is here in the eddy. Spend some time in the boater forum and share some of that knowledge of river miles you have picked up.

I answered most, if not all your questions, how about answering mine.

"Just a hunch that you are a troll and a poser. I think you'd probably post more in the actual boater forum with 400 plus river miles."

I talk to enough "river" people in the summer. They all have great story's about the various rapids, rescue stories' and drunken escapades that I really don't feel the need to add more to the story. Although I do have some great fun out there! It's not exactly up for debate.

The four hundred miles is what my 1 1/2 year old son got in last season. I bagged over 1000 miles last year. Yep thats right, I try not work that much!

Did you scream about bushes tax cuts
no, they were great ideas, we should keep the majority of our own money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

or outrages spending in Iraq

yes, I was concerned about the debt, but I did not know the intelligence made privy to the commander in chief, so I made the mistake of trusting not only Bush, but the British, our congress/senate and our CIA at the time!

Or his failed tax rebate stimulus,
I sent my check back... I knew it would never work and I planned to owe much more than the $1200 bucks they sent my wife and I. I used it as a credit.

or his October stimulus bill?

Can't even believe he signed on to it, pisses me off to no end!!! It's one of the main reasons I'm not a republican, I 100% believe both of these party's are the worst thing that has ever happened to this country. Well, Ok I admit, the dems are worse, but that only happens every 4 to 8 years and normally we have a Republican house to stop the bullshit!
