The new law doesn't fully kick in until 2014. Though some provisions are already in effect.

Health CAre

If you are referring to the Affordable Care Act, AKA Obama Care by the right leaning politicos, you will still have to purchase your health care plan.

I have a health care plan and the Affordable Care Act saved me over $500 this summer by mandating that certain cancer screenings be covered 100%. Two years ago when I had the same screenings performed I had to come up with a bunch of Benjamins to cover what insurance did not.

So even though the entire plan has not kicked in there are some benefits coming out of it.

the repealing of the current health care act will cost me over 2000 dollars more per year...I am a senior citizen who needs the current benifits.

I would wager that if more people were aware of the gains that the affordable care act has made and how it has helped so many tpeople they would be less likely to be screaming for repeal.

The only thing I want repealed is the individual mandate - because if the government is going to force me to purchase something I would prefer that it not be from one of the main sources of the problems with our health care system - the private insurance industry (which sucks 31 cents of every dollar dollar spent on actual health care).
