I don't see anything odd about acknowledging an accomplished Native American (not a congressional medal of honor winner though) as a precursor to talking about the recent Native American summit. I'll give you that the segue from that to talking about the Fort Hood massacre was not handled well.

Umm... I wasn't expecting you to find anything wrong with it TMTTR. Still in denial I see.

He came out to specifically address the shooting death of 12(at that moment) American service men & women. He speaks for 2 minutes about something that has little or no importance by comparison. Finds time for a shout out? There's nothing out of the norm with all that?

I've spoken to several of my friends in the military and they were all offended. Not a single one of them have any respect for him and are praying for his replacement in 2012. They seem to have a problem with leaving their brothers and sisters in Afganistan hanging while he courts the Olympics and pushes a massive socialist agenda back home.

I do have say I love seeing him off the teleprompter... he's soooo smooth! Sends a tingle up my leg!

By the way, I'm not going to waste my time arguing with the libs on the Eddy. Cayo 2 asked for someone to say something controversial on the insurance thread. I doubt those of you that were true believers last winter have changed your opinions and I doubt you ever will.

However, a significant portion of the population are waking up from their celebrity/rhetoric induced coma! Thank God! Once people realize that liking him is the same as endorsing his policies we'll be alright. It's happening to independents and even some democrats everywhere, everyday. If we could only find someone to vote for outside of the Republican or Democrat party we'd really be on to something. I've had enough of them both.

Yes, Yarmony, we both know that we will never agree. Since you don't want to argue with a lib, I'll just change the subject, after I say 2 things, of course.
1. That news conference was scheduled prior to the massacre and I'll admit the transition from the Native American Summit to Fort Hood was poorly done.
2. I am still in denial as you are still touting socialist conspiracy theories; McCarthy would be proud.

While it must be very liberating to place blame solely on one person for not fixing our problems, I can't help but be disgusted by this article instead. The problem is not the leader so much as it is the people- the news networks honestly didn't want to air the press conference for fear ratings would drop if they didn't show "America's Got Talent." Sad, really, really sad.

Most will carry Obama press conference; time shifted after NBC balked--The Live Feed | THR

What the hell. It's November; there's no water and no snow. Let the wild rumpus start!

Yarm - I see you're now in Steamboat. Thought you were heading to Galt Gulch to escape the commie onslaught. Did the escapeyacht thing fall through?

Good to see that you've retained your dickish edge. Wouldn't want you to get all squishy and soft on us.

Hey Rip! Good to hear from you! Hope you had a great summer watching the communist agenda and it's players exposed and ran out of Washington.

I'll admit I also hope you had fun while the water was up!

Yes I'm still a dick about anyone, group or party that wishes to destroy the remaining good about this country. I've decided to stick around at least until next fall. I have more faith in the people of the US now. The poll's are shifting and things are looking on the up!

I figured you would be in DC taking your rightful as one of Dear Leader's czars by now? I certainly felt you had proven yourself to be a true believer! There's still a ton of openings! Maybe they'll come calling soon. Good luck man!

I'm an old retired Army Grunt and I have a good friend, Grunt, and paddling partner who is fighting in Afghanistan right now. Fighting for his life and the lives of his friends. Do you all get that?

His Commander General McChrystal, who I knew when he was a young Lieutenant Colonal, is asking for help for my friend.

There is NOTHING more important for the Commander in Chief to be doing RIGHT NOW than making this decision on sending help to my friends. Send help NOW or bring my friend home. Bush was faulted for going from the gut. Has Obama got the gut?

I agree Theo.

I say bring our people home and sentence the Afgan people to their death now. It's what they expect from us, might as-well not disappoint.

Don't leave our friends and family over there without the proper resources for another day.
