Cool video of Utah Flash Flood

Something to think about next time you consider pitching the tent down in a dry wash...

So true, thanks for the clip...I guess there's really no such thing as a dry wash in the West...like this definition of "wash": to carry, erode, remove, or destroy by the action of moving water

That guy posts some good video but often lies when describing them, which is kind of silly..... In one of his videos he claims there is a "50 foot deep slot canyon under the flood", when its just a flat wash bottom like six feet deep. or on another he claims it is some of the most epic flood footage ever recorded, and its nothing more than a piddly wave of water that you could honestly probably step through......

Look up his other videos on you tube. Some are pretty impressive.

?? Did you see the part where a boulder is being rolled down the wash?
That water looked a couple of feet deep, but I can tell you that boulder looked about the size of the ones I had to pull out of my back yard last year, and I know for a fact they weighed 700-1,000 Lbs, cause you know, I flipped a Bob Cat cause I wasn't paying enough attention

Yeah, watching that boulder getting rolled along by water half as deep as it's diameter was a trip! Another example of the power of moving water, eh?

One has to take into account the bottom of the river that made it possible. Yes it is a very heavy boulder, but the sandy bottom was probably so mushy that the rock was rolling like it was round. Had it been a hard rock bottom, the rock wouldn't have budged.

@ Schutzie, flipped a Bobcat? That's awesome! Bucket list material!
