Cool Geology / Dinosaur Paleontology Article & Video

For the off-season, folks may be interested in this article on dinosaur hunting in the Morrison Formation. This fossil-rich rock layer was named after the type locality of Morrison CO, but extends across the Four Corners states and up as far as Montana and the Dakotas.

This goes into what kind of environment the dinosaurs lived in and how they evolved.

Enjoy!

Thanks Andy,

Great video detailing a rock layer we frequently see along rivers we do.

I have no idea as I'm not involved with the research - not even a vertebrate paleontologist. Maybe in my next life... Check the website and you'll know more than I.
