Colorado is in the process of developing a master state water plan for the very first time in its history.
Created by Governor Hickenlooper through executive order, the goal of the Colorado Water Plan
is to integrate the needs of the 9 different basins in state and all the different stakeholders - ag, urban, recreation, etc.
A first draft of the plan was submitted to the Governor by the Colorado Water Conservation Board (CWCB) in December. Comments on this draft are due May 1st through this website
Don't miss this chance to make your voice heard.
There are huge interests at play, and the CWCB and the Governor need to understand the needs and concerns of recreational stakeholders - boaters, fishers, etc.
