Cleaning tubes

Any good suggestions on the best way to remove aluminum frame residue from my kataraft tubes?

Someone here suggested Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. Bought some a few weeks ago and they worked great for me. Before that; a sponge, soap, water and elbow grease.
