Looking through last weekend's photos is getting me all fired up for more exploratory missions in the Zirkels. Our last few attempts were in less than ideal conditions, but this time around bluebird skies and good snow made it possible for us to reach higher ground and scope options for future missions. This is Holley's and my third winter living in Steamboat, and it feels like we're just starting to tap in to the goods. While other areas around the state have been getting skunked at times, I can't say enough about how good the conditions have been this year in the backcountry around the Steamboat and Park Range zone. Thanks to Drew, Kevin, Tom, and Jeffrey for rallying this weekend. Can't wait for the next mission...
