Lodore Lost Items

These things will probably never rise from the Triplett rocks, but...

1 oar with Ceiba sticker
Camp stove in canvas case
REI roll table in gray bag
2 blue mesh camp chairs

Please call Diane at 928-204-1567 if found.

Thanks!

The river gods get angry when a lost gear post does not contain the entertaining details!

An inexperienced paddler in a ducky got in the way of a raft just as the boatman was stroking hard left to avoid very large rocks. It was either decapitate the duckier or lose strokes. Lost strokes meant raft encountered large rocks. Large rocks caused raft to flip. Stuff came loose and sank.

Oh boy, that must have been frustrating that the raft couldn't get to where the boatman knew it needed to go. Thanks for telling us.

There is a small possibility that with very low water later this year some stuff could become exposed and recoverable. Call the river office at 970-374-2468 and talk with Cody about it.

I consider them mosquitos.....after 1 kind reminder to be aware and stay away from the boats, and a second more stern warning, I start swatting the skeeters. Sorry you lost gear, but glad that everyone is safe and sound.

Not to make fun of your loss, and acknowledging that the boat skipper did a noble thing and made a deposit in his/her Karma bank, we all need to be reminded-

Dress to Swim, Rig to Flip

'Cuz, you know, Stuff Happens!

Peace,
the Capt
