wt limit on mamba 8.1

What is the real life wt limit on the mamba 8.1? Anyone in the 190-200 lb range paddling it for rr cl 3/4?
Thanks for any info on this. Also, if you have also paddled the 8.6, any significant differences?

Yeah I weigh 190 I'm 5'8" and have owned two mamba 8.1's and one nomad 8.6. While both boats work great for my weight the 8.1 is more agile and controllable for me. The 8.6(nomad) is not too much different, a little more boat to handle... You would probably be fine either way.

Maybe demo them both?

I'm 175 and love the mamba 8.6 it doesn't feel to big on me and I know people that weigh less than me that paddle it, that's what I would go with if I were you. But as always get out there and demo both boats and see which one you like more. If you are mainly doing single day trips the 8.1 might work well, but if you are planning any overnighters the 8.6 is awesome and has tons of room to store gear.
