What to do??

How hard would it be to ride a recreation kayak on whitewater if I just bought a spray skirt for it? Or should I buy a new kayak?

You could do some Class 2 stuff for sure - just get some float bags so you have a chance to get your boat back when you swim. Anything more than that and you'd be in trouble if you have to cross current, eddylines etc. Just not made for fast water really. If you do a lot of rec boating - you might look at Jackson's new crossover boat, the Rogue. Dagger and LL both have rec/whitewater type boats too.

Look for local info in the Youngstown area on the Keelhauers and Tree Rivers paddling club sites
